The #3 Oatka Quackers and the #2 Washburn Workhorses met yet again in the 2014 WWL World Series.  Since 2012, both teams have reached the finals with the Quackers winning the past two titles.  The series was full of competitive action and exciting plays.  Game one was a pitchers duel between Mike Anderson and Regis Pollard.  Both pitchers allowed only 7 hits and struck out 30 batters in 6 innings of work.  The game remained scoreless going into the bottom of the 6th.  Pollard would lead off the inning with a walk, and Cody Hammond would push him to third after a ground out to the right side.  Jordan Shelton would be the next batter and with a full count he would pull the ball to the right side.  Sean Ancker was able to peg him out, but it didn't matter.  Pollard would come across on the play and the Quackers would take game one by a score of 1-0.

Game two was just as exciting and intense as game one.  The Workhorses would get two runs in the first inning off Cody Hammond, as he struggled walking six batters in the frame. The Quackers would respond in the 3rd with five runs, thanks to a three run blast by Shelton.  The score would remain that way until the end, as the Quackers won 5-2 winning their third title in league history.  Hammond would earn the win, allowing just 3 hits while striking out 16.  Shelton would finish the day 3-8 with a triple, home run, and 4 RBIs. Eli Beard had an impressive pitching performance as he struck out 15 for the Workhorses in the loss.

Jordan Shelton earned MVP honors.  He finished the series 5 of 13 with four extra base hits, batting in 5 of the 6 runs in the series.
