NWLA: Greatest Announcer Ever

Throughout the NWLA tournament player’s names were announced for each at bat as their individual walk up music was played in the background.  It was a nice touch and made you feel like you were sort of a big deal.  But no announcer at the tournament did his job better than Ervin Ross.

Ervin Ross randomly found out about the position on Craigslist and didn’t even know wiffleball was a “thing”.  You may even wonder why the guy, who has his own IMDb page and appeared in the popular TV show Parks and Recreation, was even at a wiffleball tournament anyway.  But he was there, and it was awesome.  He brought enthusiasm and excitement to each at bat, and also added a lot of humor that kept everyone interested in the games.

The WWL had the privilege of having Ervin announce the majority of their games, but we weren't the only ones who loved him.  Leagues from all over went to twitter to thank Ervin for a job well done.  He was a ton of fun, a great guy, and just another reason why to love the national tournament.  Thanks for a lot of fun Ervin and we hope to see you back next year.
