![]() Regis Pollard sits down with this year’s cover boy, Jordan Shelton of the Oatka Quackers. Regis Pollard: Good morning Jordan and thanks for being here. How excited are you to be playing wiffleball come this spring? Jordan Shelton: Ecstatic. RP: Aren’t we all. So, you’re back with the Quackers for another season. How many years do you plan on signing with them? JS: That’s’ a good question Reg. I actually was looking to sign with the Topless Tigers (Washburn Workhorses) this upcoming season, but their GM and I could not negotiate a suitable contract; therefore I re-signed with the Quackers. I think I’m just going to opt to another one year deal. RP: Always playing the market. This past season you guys enjoyed a lot of success, how does your team look this year? JS: Well Regis, it’s been a long off season. I don’t know if anyone has put in the time getting some swings in and whatnot over the off season. I know I have. But I'm sure our team will look presentable come preseason. RP: Gotta love a player always ready to go. Now you had a huge post season. How do you plan to carry those numbers into this season? JS: Well, it is not easy to hit home runs. So, hopefully I can see the ball as well as I did last year, this year. RP: So you’re on the cover of this year’s Sports Illustrated WWL Preview edition. How does that make you feel? JS: Very excited. I mean who wouldn’t be excited to be on the cover, but it is an honor. RP: Where do u expect the Quackers to be in the standings at the end of the season? JS: There is no reason why we shouldn't be ranked #1 again at the end of the season... that is if we go in and play our game. RP: Telling it how it is, Jordan Shelton ladies and gentleman. Want to leave us with one final thought? JS: LOOK OUT FOR #10 THIS YEAR |
