Silver Slugger Award

Steve Gaffney

Steve Gaffney was in the top 3 of almost every major offensive statistical category including average (.704), hits (57), HR (11), and RBI (52).  In 110 plate appearances, Gaffney struck out a total of 10 times. The win gives Gaffney his first Silver Slugger Award.

Gold Glove Award

Michael Hackett

Michael Hackett racked up numerous big plays in the field during the 2012 season.  His consistency and ability to make big plays earned him his first Gold Glove Award.

Rookie of the Year

Michael Hackett

 Michael Hackett made an impression both offensively and defensively in his first year.  He was the lead-off hitter for the Workhorses, who finished at the top of their division with an 8-4 record.  He led the league with 69 hits and 12 doubles, while batting .676 on the year with 51 RBI.

Cy Young Award

Regis Pollard

Regis Pollard went 8-0 as a starter and managed a 2.85 ERA and a 2.14 WHIP, which led all players. Pitching a total of 33.2 innings, Pollard was second in the league with 65 strikeouts, on his way to his second Cy Young Award.

Most Valuable Player

Regis Pollard
Regis Pollard was the lead-off hitter and ace of the Quackers, who finished 11-1 in the regular season. He led the league in runs (76), batting average (.787), HR (12), and RBI (71), earning the Triple Crown. Pitching, Pollard led the league in ERA (2.85) and Wins (8), grabbing his second MVP honor.

Commissioner's Award

Mike Anderson

Mike Anderson managed the Washburn Workhorses to a 8-4 regular-season record, earning the franchise's first Divisional Title.  He also turned in a solid season hitting .591, with 7 HR, and 48 RBI, while picking up a league-leading 8 wins on the mound.
