— Today the WWL released its first team to enter the League. The Oatka Quackers, managed by Regis Pollard will be a part of the WWL’s East Ave Division. They unveiled their new logo and slick design this evening along with the signing of Regis Pollard to the team roster.

Regis Pollard who was named Commissioner to the League just a short while ago is the first player to sign a contract, committing his Wiffleball skills to the WWL. Pollard, an All-Star at Caledonia-Mumford High School, will bring his team best .449 batting average and a .609 slugging percentage to the Quackers, along with a solid defensive resume. Pollard can suit up at any position and may adjust nicely into a pitching role, but will have to do without the glove for WWL play.

With Regis Pollard the Quackers are in a solid position to add depth to their team. Look for the Quackers to make some quick moves at several players available in the WWL. It won’t be a surprise if other members from the 2010 Section V Champion team end up on the squad.
