February 4, 2011 — Early this morning a press-release was held to inform fans that a new team is being formed in the WWL. Chris Peterson has stepped up to be named manager of the latest team to enter the league.

Peterson, an outfielder and pitcher for the Cal-Mum Raiders, will be a good start to the team. His junior year he managed 6 hits in only 15 at bats for a remarkable .400 batting average. A member of the 2010 Section V Champion, his senior year he created his own title as designated fielder. He did stage 21 at bats which resulted in 3 hits, 3 runs, and 3 rbi’s, but recorded 109 innings in the field. Peterson made a few starts on the hill for the Raiders, and kept his ERA under 3 both years.

With only 2 errors to his resume, Peterson will be one of the more reliable fielders in the league. Judging by his pitching history, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he is the number one or two of his squad. No news yet on what Peterson has in store for the team name or logo, but it looks like he has his eyes on a few players already.
